UIZ Training Research Center for Professional Improvement

Since 1987, UIZ has been engaged in the training activities for postgraduates and professionals.  Annually, UIZ offers courses in all areas of oil and gas chain such as:

UIZ has experience in technical areas of training, including oil and gas equipment, instrumentation devices, electrical and mechanical equipment operation activities.

In 2004, UIZ provided training for more than 6000 managers and professionals from 450 oil and gas companies.

UIZ has:

§  The License of Ministry of Education of Russian Federation No 24-G-0135, which permits performing training activities in the field of the professional improvement and upgrading;

§  The Accreditation of the supervising company ‘Rostechnadzor’ of Russian Federation No 084 for training and testing of managers’ and specialists’ safety knowledge in the petroleum industry;

§  Accreditation No MR-03 for specialists in welding of II, III,  and IV grades, as ‘NAKS Training Center’;

§ The Quality Management Certificate No POCC RU. ИС64.К00010 issued by “GOSSTANDART” of Russian Federation.

UIZ can provide the training programs development, updating and adaptation. Also, we can determine the course content and duration, and the quantity of topics, according to the customers’ needs. Annually, UIZ offers 250 programs with the customized and updated content.  Professors, instructors from Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas, and subcontractors (all together about 600) develop and update programs according to customer’s demand.  Also, UIZ provides guidance and instructional support services for “Gazprom” and “Transneft” companies.

During the training on Drilling, practical exercises take place in the Training Center equipped with a modern full-scale imitator. The imitator simulates the real situations arising in on-shore and dry-land drilling including well work over. If the participants pass the exams, they receive the IWCF or IADC WellCap Certificates for supervisors or drill operators. The portative version of the imitator is available too.

During the training on Petroleum Processing, practical exercises take place in the Computer-Based Training Center equipped with the programs for the operators. Participants will develop skills to operate in the upset, pre-emergency, and emergency conditions.

During the training on Production Modeling and Correlation, practical exercises take place in The Center of Computer-Based Modeling. The “GEOKOR-2” software used there has no analogs in the world practice. Participants will be able to estimate the reserves for the production project optimization. 

Gubkin’s State University has just opened the School of Supervising. The graduates will acquire skills to monitor the process of the well construction and maintenance. 

UIZ has foreign partners such as IFP (Institut Francais du Petrole), Oxford’s Petroleum  and Energy  College, Society of Petroleum Engineers, NEXT, and StatOil. 

Our partners and customers are Gasprom, LukOil, Rosneft, Slavneft-Megionneftegaz,  Transneft, SEIC, BP-TNK, Kazakhstan Oil  and Gas Companies, Halliburton, Salym Petroleum Development, MI Drilling, and Vietsovpetro.
