7 members of the faculty have been awarded state prizes and become honored scientists of the Russian Federation.

Among the faculty are 16 professors, doctors of science and 57 assistant professors, candidates of science.

In the recent years a number of developments of the faculty have received awards. These include: POTOK-4 Mobile Measuring System, designed for on-line control of gas rate and fluid rate without separating the gas-fluid flow, monitoring of sand and impurities, measurement of well production flow temperature and pressure; Pumping Station Computer Simulator; Computer Simulator of BOP and horizontal drilling.
